PSHE · Years 3–13 · European AI Literacy

Not how to code AI.
How to live well with it.

Living with AI is a complete PSHE-based curriculum framework for schools — and a hands-on extracurricular programme for children. Both are rooted in the same belief: the most important AI education is human education.

Living with AI — The Curriculum

Not how to code AI.
How to live well with it.

Most AI education asks: how does it work? Living with AI asks something more important: how do we want to live with it?

This is a PSHE framework — not a computing course. It spans Year 3 to Year 13, is fully resourced with lesson plans and parent materials, and is designed for the whole school community, not just the classroom.

European by design. Human-centred. Values-driven.

What it is — and isn't

A structured, ongoing framework for Y3–Y13
Whole-school: students, parents, staff, and leadership
Aligned to EU AI Act, National Curriculum, and UNESCO frameworks
Fully resourced — lesson plans, teacher notes, parent materials
Not a coding course
Not a one-off workshop
Not US-built and adapted for Europe

Framework Foundations

Four pillars. Six competencies.
One coherent approach.

Academically rigorous and relevant to children's real lives — not as future workers, but as people navigating an AI-shaped world right now.

Awareness & Responsibility

Understanding how AI works in the world and what responsibilities we carry as users and citizens.

Critical Thinking

Evaluating AI outputs, spotting bias, and asking the right questions before accepting the answers.

Wellbeing & Ethics

Protecting mental health, emotional safety, and human dignity in an AI-mediated world.

Creativity & Future-Readiness

Using AI as a creative partner while developing the human skills that no algorithm can replace.

Competencies for an AI World

A life skillset grounded in Social-Emotional Learning — because the most important skills in an AI world are human ones.

Curiosity Adaptability Creativity Collaboration Empathy Resilience

Curriculum Map

Year 3 to Year 13.
A progressive journey.

Each year builds on the last — from first encounters with AI in primary school to ethical leadership at sixth form. Full lesson materials and parent resources available on request.

Now launching

Living with AI — The Lab

AI literacy for children. Hands-on. Values-led. Community-driven.

Pilot cohorts — April 2026

Where LEGO meets
ethical thinking.

A 6-week extracurricular programme for children aged 7+ and 11+. They build real AI systems, break them intentionally, feel the consequences, and redesign them. Hands-on. Values-led. Small groups. Big conversations.

Currently available in Madrid

The Lab is currently running as a local initiative in Madrid. We're looking to expand — but if you're based elsewhere and interested, we'd love to hear from you.

How Each Session Works

1

Build

Children construct AI systems using LEGO Education CS & AI kits.

2

Glitch

An intentional bias or failure is introduced. The system breaks — ethically, not technically.

3

Conscience

Children identify what went wrong, debate the real-world impact, and redesign the system.

4

Showcase

Families come together. Children explain their ethical design choices — to their parents.
